DESCRIPTION:
French, Dufaud, Paris, case possibly by Link, C.1890, in the Louis XV style of the previous century, and of the highest quality. There are profuse floral decorations, fruit swags to the sides and acanthus swags drape the top urn w/finial. Large cast and fluted feet support the base.
CONDITION:
there are some wear spots through the gilding, but overall this is in excellent original condition, with a well made bell strike movement, signed as in headline. This is a large and heavy clock, and among the best French clocks in the sale. Mov't #4054 and with matching number on pendulum, mov't signed as in headline. Ht 21.5"
